Since May, the Mole Mobile, presented by Neutrogena®, a Kenvue brand, has been travelling across Canada with a mission: to promote skin cancer awareness through free screenings and prevention education. With the support and partnership of the Canadian Dermatology Association, two mobile units hit the road, one starting in Alberta and the other in Ontario.
The West Coast Mole Mobile has since made its way into British Columbia, where it’s currently touring communities, while the East Coast unit continues to make stops throughout Ontario, wrapping up its journey in Quebec later this fall.
With July behind us, we’ve officially reached the halfway point of the 2025 Mole Mobile Tour. This milestone offers an opportunity to reflect on what we have accomplished so far, and the work that remains.
To Date We’ve:
- Performed 4,409 skin checks
- Identified 525 suspicious lesions or possible skin cancers, including 86 melanomas
- Reached 240,816 people through social media
- Earned 103,863,140 media impressions across television, print, radio, and digital platforms
- Collected 1,240 signatures on our joint petition with the Canadian Dermatology Association, calling for more dermatologists in Canada
Raising awareness and promoting early detection and skin cancer prevention remain critical. With each person reached and every mole checked, we move one step closer to our vision of a world with zero melanoma and skin cancer-related deaths.

Message from the Alberta Provincial Chair
In 2025, Melanoma Canada’s Mole Mobile partnered with the Canadian Dermatology Association and its member Dermatologists to provide over 1,000 skin cancer checks for Albertans throughout the province. The campaign was a resounding success with over 100 suspicious lesions identified including melanomas. The work of Melanoma Canada, championing Mole Mobile with the partnership and support of the Canadian Dermatology Association focused on prevention, education, access and early detection of the most common cancers (skin cancers) in Alberta. The work has just begun! Let’s continue the efforts, the passion and the commitment to a world without skin cancers. –Dr. Mariusz Sapijaszko

GET INVOLVED
Melanoma is one of the few cancers you can see on the skin, which means catching it early saves lives. But, with only 800 Dermatologists across Canada, most people wait months just to be seen. The Mole Mobile helps close that gap, bringing care where it’s needed most: closer to you, your family, and your community.
There are many ways to support this mission: donate, fundraise, host an event, or volunteer to bring hope and support to those impacted by melanoma and skin cancer. Get Involved
No matter where you live in Canada, there are opportunities to connect. Melanoma Canada offers virtual events, educational sessions, and nationwide challenges throughout the year. View Calendar of Events
Help fund 5,000 skin checks across Canada this summer. Every $100 donated provides one screening, a relatively small investment that can save a life.
HELP EXPAND DERMATOLOGIC CARE

Add your voice today so more patients get the care they need, when they need it. By signing, you’re helping push for real change—more access, better tools, and more specialists. Your skin health shouldn’t have to wait.
