On June 6th, the Odette Cancer Centre (Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre) and the Melanoma Network of Canada presented a Melanoma Patient Information Session entitled Learning about Melanoma: Treatments and Healthy Living. Speakers included Dr. Teresa Petrella discussing emerging information for melanoma patients receiving treatment, and Dr. Frances Wright, who discussed what to expect around specific melanoma-based surgeries.
Also included was a patient panel which saw valuable advice given from three melanoma patients, as well as presentations on sun safety, exercise for patients, and diet and cancer.
