Thank you to Strides
This May Canadians from coast to coast walk with their families and friends in memory and support of those living with melanoma and skin cancer. Due to Covid-19 the event took a different format than normal but the community support has never been stronger. Thank you to everyone who helped make the 10th Anniversary Strides for Melanoma an incredible success. As a result of your hard work, and dedication to fundraising to support those impacted by melanoma and skin cancer, we raised $296,000, our best results ever! None of this would have been possible without you. Mark your calendars, Strides for Melanoma will take place on Sunday, May 29, 2022. We hope to see you all again.
Yorkville Exotic Car Show
For the first time this June, MNC partnered with the Yorkville Exotic Car Show. Even though the event was forced to run virtually again this year, it was still a huge success. More than 20 exotic cars took part in the virtual show while also raising funds to promote sun safety awareness. Promoting sun safety for drivers is an important message as we know drivers more often discover skin cancer on their left side. MNC looks forward to participating in the show again in June 2022.
Peloton 4 Melanoma
This Spring our board member, Jessica Minardi, launched an amazing new virtual event that combined a physical challenge with raising funds in support of those living with melanoma and skin cancer. Over the course of May Jessica rode 1000km on her Peloton in memory of her husband Sean who passed away from melanoma in 2017. While documenting her journey on social media Jessica was able to raise over $10,000. She looks forward to riding again in 2022 and hopes that others will join her in Peloton4Melanoma.
Constantine Yorkville Run
MNC is happy to announce its participation in this year’s Yorkville Run as one of its designated charity partners. The Constantine Yorkville Run is a premium 5k run in support of local charities. It’s official they have just been approved to run a combination in-person and virtual event on Sunday September 12th. Dust off your running shoes and register today.
